CD Reviews

Rich grooves...if you love Buddha Bar, don't miss this one
global music collector | San Francisco | 11/21/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Those of you who enjoy the "Buddha Bar" compilations, "Nirvana Lounge," and the first three editions of "Chill Out in Paris" will also want this CD. Though the price is a bit high for a single CD, it's worth it.

As soon as you pop the CD in your player and hear the first track, "Kissat Hob," you'll know you did the right thing. It has all the complex, lush beats, melodic interweavings, and impeccable timing of some of Claude Challe's best work. Though the first track might be the most stunning track on the whole CD, the rest of it is worth owning, as well. Go ahead and treat yourselves!"
Brilliant

"Another brilliant compilation by Claude Challe, if you are a fan of Claude Challe, this CD is a MUST have, if you like Arabic music, this CD is also a must have, if you like groovy, chill music, look no further. This CD is very creative, I cannot get enough of it!"
Amazing piece of work

(5 out of 5 stars)

"I picked this up in a boutique in NYC a few years back on the recommendation of the sales person and am SO GLAD I did. I've had it for maybe four years now and NEVER grow tired of listening to it over and over again. I disagree with some of the other reviewers who say only the first song is great. Wallahy is absolutely magical as well as Kissat Hob! Actually the entire album is good with the exception of Take Khamsa and Hollywood Gnaoua (but both are definitely worth listening to...just not as amazing as the other songs) I highly recommend this cd to anyone who loves dreamy Arabic beats."
