"Well, if you like "Let it rock" you will like about 3 songs on this Cd including that. This CD has 4 really good songs, IN THE CITY, LET IT ROCK, N.Y.C., WELCOME TO THE WORLD. This CD is half rock/rap/techno, and the other half is slower chill songs. I was hoping for more club bangers like LET IT ROCK but N.Y.C is pretty close. All in all I dont regret buying this CD the hip/hop/techno tracks on here are tight and hopefully more artists bank on that in the future."
A great first album!

"Most listeners are familiar with Kevin Rudolf from the hit "Let it Rock". Fans of "CSI: NY" will have heard "N.Y.C." a few weeks back starting off one episode (lyrics "In the city of dreams, you get caught up in the schemes...") The album is mainly a paean to New York City, where he grew up, even though he calls Miami home these days. Lyrically the songs are biographic, painful, and playful, sometimes in the same song, as in "Gimme a Sign"!
These songs are just a taste of what Kevin has to offer musically: rap, rock, hip-hop, alternative, and funk. He does searing guitar work on most tracks, he has a great singing voice he especially puts to good use on "Let it Rock", "I Song", "Scarred", and "Great Escape". Other standouts are "Livin' it Up", "No Way Out", "Welcome to the World", and "She Can Get It". He slows it down on the dream-like "Great Escape". The production values are right up there with the likes of Timbaland, who he's done guitar work with on some of T's hits for other artists like L'il Kim. Other artists Rudolf has worked with include Justin, Black Eyed Peas, Nelly Furtado, and David Banner."
Extremely underrated CD

"Kevin Rudolf isn't really a well-known singer (except for Let It Rock) but his music is awesome. I saw him live and he was good. Many people automatically hate the CD because it's considered rock, but most of the songs on it are rock so i'm not sure what those people are talking about.

"If you like "Let It Rock" and "In the City," you'll love the rest of this album as well! The funky basslines and melodies, catchy lyrics, and pure fun of Kevin Rudolf's first CD make it appealing to a wide range of age groups and musical tastes. I've probably listened to this CD a dozen times since I bought it three weeks ago, and I have more than 1,500 albums in my collection waiting to distract me. Whether you're in the mood for some dancin' or just want to rock out in your car, I highly recommend picking up this great album..."
