keren began carving her sound in the clubs of new york, leaving miami one day after high school graduation. playing feverishly in her adopted hometown, she built a strong and steady following. keren was lucky enough to be included and shined with performances on the 3rd and final lilith fair and sang with punk troubadour jonathan richman (there's something about mary) on his record i'm so confused , produced by the cars ric ocasek. keren continued to blaze new trails when she wrote and was featured in an article for seventeen magazine depicting the realities of being a girl in the boy s guitar world. gone was a labor of love. keren relocated to los angeles and was fortunate enough to have her songs featured on many tv shows. it was then that she put all her new recordings together and started her own indie label, big pea & a dime music! tracks from that record were featured on nbc's scrubs , the wb's everwood , jack and bobby and mtv's laguna beach , among others. all her songs have consistently caused reactions on message boards and emails, all asking, who s that girl? she also appeared on nbc s scrubs as a singing nurse as well. keren also made gone available in millions of general motors cars around the country. gone was digitally preloaded in the dashboards of select gm cars as part of the digital mobile media package, powered by phatnoise. This self-starter with a pink guitar and stilettos, tirelessly supported her debut with all the opportunities as well as a borders books and music tour of the west coast. keren s sophomore full length, overwhelmed will be released on november 11, 2008. she recently had 2 upcoming tracks featured on mtv's the hills as well as in teen horror film the haunting of molly hartley starring chase crawford. keren is also a big believer in change. her blue locks are gone and a wiser and craftier songwriter has emerged. overwhelmed is a 14-month journey of favors and late nights, free and close to nothing studio time and loads of airplane tickets back and forth from l.a. to nyc. a true thumbprint of her changes in her life. as she loves to say change you re hair...change your life .
