"Contrary to what was said by one of the reviewers, Matoub Lounes is a Berber (Amazigh) Algerian artist and he is listed in the right category. Named after Tahar Djaout's daughter, Kenza, this CD is dedicated to the life and works of Tahar Djaout, a talented Berber Algerian writer, poet, and journalist and a friend of Matoub's, who was gunned down by the Islamic fundamentalists, with the conspiracy of the Algerian government, for denouncing their corruption and fascism. Matoub Lounes was killed in June 98 by he same people who killed Tahar Djaout and for the same reasons."
