"Brother Kenny takes a political turn on this 5-song ep. `How Long' (there should either be a question mark or an exclamation point or two on that title) is an ode (wink, wink) to a certain Presidential Administration (along with some words of advice for the 2008 electorate) and `Pat Robertson' (there should probably be some question marks there, as well) is, likewise, an ode (nudge, nudge) to a certain so-called religious leader--neither of whom shall be named here. These two songs, written by Kenny in the past year, are herein joined with 3 others inspired by events subsequent to September 11, 2001. Combined, these songs graphically reflect the sadness, confusion, frustration, bile-spewing anger, and last-gasp hopefulness that White and many others of us are feeling these days. Simultaneously contemplative and visceral, this is a powerful and risk-taking work. Right on, brother!"
