CD ReviewsPLEASENT SUPRISE..... Craig B. Marshall | NM, USA | 03/27/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "This is my first review in Amazon. After I picked up this CD and saw nobody had said anything about it, I decided to give it shoot. I had never heard of Kenny Smith until I read a review on a gospel website. Wow... What a pleasent suprise!!! If you like J Moss, Tonex or D. Hadden, you'll enjoy this as well. I was touched by this project so much I went on-line and purchased his previous CD's as well.... I have teen children and I try to purchase music that we can listen too together. The song "I Can't Tell You Why" with its lead guitar into and outro should not be missed. One of the better Gospel albums I've purchased in a while. QUALITY SPIRIT FILLED GOSPEL MUSIC with a BEAT THAT'LL MAKE YOU THINK!!!" Kenny Smith "The Man" D. A. Thomas | Los Angeles, CA | 09/21/2007 (4 out of 5 stars) "As a close personal friend of Kenny Smith I can truly say that not only is he a great singer, but he is a great man of God. The music he writes, produces, plays and sings is but a small preview of his relationship with God. The man is a worshipper. Oftentimes, we're in the studio creating artwork on Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop and he'll turn on some music and he is almsot immediately raptured into the presence of God. His creativity and vocal ability is second to none, and it's a privilege for me to call him friend. Kenny Smith is truly one of those great contemporary gospel artists who paved the way for the Tonex's, the Dawkins & Dawkins, the J. Moss's, etc. but have never received their credit. Little know fact: Kenny was the first gospel artist to ever have dancers accompany him on stage! Hmmm...wonder where Kirk Franklin got the boldness to do that? It's because Kenny had already busted down that Jericho wall years before. But listen here, you haven't heard anything yet. Kenny's got a new album coming out and a new name...be on the lookout for it. I'll give you this much...he is no longer Kenny Smith, but now Kynee (artist name only of course), but if you thought Kenny was hot before, wait until you hear this next one!!!" OG Kenny Smith Fan R. M. B. | LA | 04/05/2005 (4 out of 5 stars) "I have been listen to Kenny Smith since his first album. This is one of his best. If you like Gospel music that "keeps it real", you will love his stuff. He does not compromise on the word of God. And I love the fact that his kids have some "parts" on the CD. Get it you wont regret it especially if you do not not the "church style" of music"
