"This is Kenny "Blue Boss" Wayne's third release and it's a good one. Wayne's roots seem firmly grounded in New Orleans Jazz and Blues. His style is a blues based boogie-woogie along the lines of Professor Longhair or a Fats Domino but with more of a 60's feel, especially on tunes like "My Nadine" and "With These Hands". The disc has plenty of guests rotating in and out on various tracks including, Willie "Big Eyes" Smith on "Laughing Stock", "88th & Jump Street" and "Where Did My Baby Go" and Jeff Healy on "My Nadine", "Smokin' Boogie" and "We Love The Blues". Additionally, David "Hurricane" Hoerl plays some outstanding harp, most notably, on the boogie-woogie instrumental and title track "88th & Jump Street". Overall, there is a nice familiar feel to this CD, like welcoming back an old friend."
