CD ReviewsThe Magicians back! Bluematter | Colorado | 06/22/2002 (5 out of 5 stars) "It's been over twenty years since the last solo outing by Ken Hensley. I would have to say that this effort was worth the wait. There is a definite feel about this CD that reminds one of the great early days of Uriah Heep. That wonderfull organ sound comes out in many of the tunes here while Ken's voice is in fine form. Ken has mixed up a number of styles on this release with songs that have that mellow feel of tunes like "Paradise" from the Demons and Wizards CD. While others rock and have reflective lyrics (Ken still is a great songwriter). The CD clocks in a little over 53 minutes with a great instrumental intro that leads into two very strong tunes in "Out of my Control" and the "American Dream". Strong songs throughout with a great rockin finish "Tell me". If you thought the best days of Uriah Heep were with Hensley and Byron then this CD is for you. Ken has matured as an artist and as we the listeners have aged, Ken like a fine wine as has a great flavor for the tasting. Don't take so long for your next outing Ken. Great to hear you play again." Common you old heepsters! Maximo Iglesias Minino | Dominican Republic | 09/04/2003 (4 out of 5 stars) "Well, after so long listening to Ken Hensley on solo albums and during his Uriah Heep era, I must say this CD shows that he is still as good as he was then. But then, experience and technology results in one of Hensley's best album in his entire carreer. What else can it be said? Listen to it!"
