"kathem el saher, one of the greatest arabic singers of our time, kathem who is an iraqi singer, simply made it big in the arabic world, thanks to his great voise and music, that he arranges, and the great and meaningful lyrics that he chose to sing.this CD which is titled (No..My Friend) has 2 tracks on it 1-(No..My Friend) one of his very early attempt to sing a long poet,it has a nice, sad and happy mode music, with beautiful lyrics of Aziz El Rassam an iraqi song writer(some say that this was a true story of the song writer!) it tell's a story of love,freindship and betray with a guy that loses his girlfriend(future wife) to his best friend, but the track is 47:23 minuts long....(where and what should I do with all the photos and memories, from whom should I ask for help, who will hear my sad plea.... second track is-ya rayeh lebnan(a song to lebanon)"

"I began my investigation of Kazem's music with his later releases,e.g., al-Hub al-Mostaheel and Qusat Habebain. Having read that this CD showed his more classical side, I knew I had to check it out. Needless to say, I was not disappointed. The 47-minute title piece is an amazing tour-de-force that confirmed for me that Kazem is a very important artist. The piece starts with an elegant instrumental introduction and once Kazem enters, he never lets up. The intensity just keeps building. Not only is he an incredible singer, but he is also supported by supremely intelligent and beautiful orchestration. Everyone should hear Kazem's wonderful music. Bravissimo!"
