"I had the good fortune on two occassions to listen to Doug and Sandy play live at Surt's in Haena just north of Hanalei. Sandy's commentary regarding the history of Ki Ho'alu (Slack Key), their depth of relationship with the old masters and her support on Ukelele of Doug's "McMastery" of the Guitar was incredible. Of course only amplified by the ambiance of Surt's setting on the Bay, the culinary excellance of Executive Chef Randy and the most gorgeous moonscapes on the most glorious island in all of God's creation. They are a personable and delightful couple and I play their music incessantly as well as having developed a consuming fetish for the musical form.Even here just north of rainy Seattle, a glass of good wine and a comfortable chair transports me back to Haena and Hanalei, and the property we are looking for there. You would do well to have a little peace and a lot of their music in your life."

"Kauai homecoming is a great cd. It has a high energy. When you are in a bad mood: listen to Kauai Homecoming. The energy and love from the music will change your mood in a good direction almost instantly. Kauai is certenly one of the most beautifull islands of the world. In the music from Doug and Sandy you can hear that they are living on this paradise island. The magic energy from the island is in the music. Doug plays lovely slack key guitar. It is so full of love for nature and all humans. It is full peacefull feelings . I listen almost everyday to kauai homecoming and everytime i play the cd i hear new things. I live in The Netherlands wich is a long distance from Kauai but all my friends overhere are very very enthousiastic about Kauai Homecoming. None of them have been on Kauai but they all feel the peace in the music. The say that this music helps them to relax and enjoy live. This CD is a paradise in a world full of stress."
