CD Reviews

I love this woman.

"Now the only thing is to get her to marry me (lol). This is a very very good album by a very talented singer-songwriter. Good songs, great voice and equally good songwriting."
Why women will always rule the civilized world.

"If Neal Young was a beautiful woman born after his heyday as a performer, he might be Kathleen Edwards. Ms. Edwards can really write and really bring down the mood without even breaking into a Blues Riff.

Back to me contains brilliant writing wonderful chord progressions and unforgettable hooks. And for me the title song thoroughly explains why men will always be on the stupid side in the battle of the sexes.

While Ms. Edwards vocals are not amazing, the songwriting and wit are so phenomenal, and so believable, it doesn't matter. I only wish that there was a place for her in American Radio. Or even stores. Last fall I tried to buy this CD at Borders, and they were clueless as to who she was, they located the album on their computer system, but I got it elsewhere. If it wasn't for Amazon, I never would have heard of her.

If you love singer songwriter music, and aren't afraid of catching the blues, this is a CD for you.
