Kate Comes Back!

"Kate's last hit "Scream For More" was released all the way back in August of 2001. Since then she's released four more hits internationally. Now in the Summer of 2003, Robbins releases TWO of her hits on ONE CD Maxi! The CD starts out with Kate's take on Mylene Farmer's "Desenchantee" with the "Radio Mix" (3:38) which is simply a shorter version of the "Extended Mix" (8:28), Kate's beautiful French vocals easily make this song awesome! The lyrics are effectively minimized in the "Club Mix" (8:12) and the trancey instrumentals take over. Now U R (My Love)... The "Original Extended" (8:33) as well as the "Peter Luts Extended Mix" (6:58) are both awesome songs (in English!) but don't hold much of a candle to Desenchantee (Both versions of Desenchantee also appear as radio edits). In the end this is an awesome single to add to your collection!Hopefully Robbins Entertainment will release Kate's debut album "Different" soon!"

"Okay, so it's in French, but that doesn't stop Desenchantee from being one of the most divine sounding songs I've ever heard. Originally by Mylene Farmer in the early '90s this version by Kate Ryan lacks Farmer's dreamy feeling but replaces it with an upbeat trance mood and some wonderful cues remixed in hypnotic euphoria.



Desenchantee (disillusioned) is a great song no doubt and sounds just as amazing coming from Kate Ryan as it did Mylene Farmer. However the other song featured on this CD 'U R My Love' is far more generic and unspectacular, though it does have some brilliant sounding trance cues. Desenchantee gets 3 mixes on this CD while the inferior U R My Love gets 4."
