"CPO has issued a second disc of rarities from the composer Karol Lipinski.

These works take up 73 minutes of your time but at least you get an idea what concert goers listened to in the first part of the 19th century. You may have read about these works in reference books but here is your opportunity to listen to these works first hand. Now if only CPO can find the remaining movements in manuscipt to Violin Concerti No. 3 and 4 which were left out of Volume One, we would have a complete collection! The violinist Albrecht Breuninger does a great job with these works which are recorded for the first time."
