"My Goodness where do I begin? I have been a long time supporter of Karen Clark Sheard and her sister's and I must say with this new label and project I'm so excited for what is continued to come. As I see no one has has done the complete song break down yet I'll give it a shot...



Prayed Up- This song took a few listens to grow on me, but again I had to get into a revolutionary mind set just as the sisters were when they released, "You Brought The Sunshine". Karen delivers this message of encouragment to the back drop of some serious go-go stylings. This is the one you roll your windows down and get crunk for Jesus over!



Hold On- J Drew did an awesome job of giving Karen a fresh and contemporary sound on this album. This song could have just as easily ended up on Kiki's album but Karen handled it showing she sounds like no other 49 year old gospel star walking the face of this Earth. Hold On is another up tempo that can really get you going in the morning before work or in your car or when ever you need a pep up while getting your praise on!



Blessings- Blessings slows things down and is delightfully pleasing with J Drew II singing the lyrics with Karen. It really sounds very nice. I don't care what anyone says, J Drew got a lil bit of sanging in him and I love hearing him sing with Karen or KiKi.



Made A Choice- This is the first offering on the album from PAJAM and is also very laid back and different than the usual PAJAM sounds. I really love this track, Karen's voice is so sweet and passionate while she reaches out amongst the people to let them know she can relate to the struggles of day to day living we all encounter. This one will defintely be on your repeat lists!



Take Me- Now I'm always excited when the next generation comes in on a track and here Kiki and Angel come in to trade verses with mom and auntie. Kiki has a raspiness in her voice on this track that I am so in love with (she constantly reinvents her vocal stylings making it clear she is her own woman) and Angel at times sounds like Karen to the point that I wasn't sure when she was singing and when Karen was. Another great "fam" track!



Good- In true PAJAM fashion Karen comes through with a ode to how Good God is one this one. Very smooth, another track to keep on repeat!



Because of You- This could be a major cross over hit here. Karen really goes into worship on this one and I can't help but think the production here was somehow inspired by Michael Jackson. Anyone who's heard the end of this song and how beautiful it is has to feel me on this!



Crazy Praise- J Drew II drops another fiya track here that'll have you moving and grooving while giving crazy praise! What can I say here, you could drop this on secular radio and though it's clearly a gospel song, you couldn't help but get up and move on this one either. Watch how the Sheards get Detroit on this one!



What He Did- Wow, all I can say is, everyone can relate to this one! The song starts out saying, "I thank god, that I don't look like what I been through", and anyone who's been through something will be up moving to this one too!



He Knows- Pairs Karen and Dorinda and as always when these two get together you can't help but make magic. Kren has me tripping out asking, "Does he know my weakness, when I feel like I wanna choke sombody?" and Dorinda says "does he know..." and then chuckles like its something she can't even say out loud! REALNESS. Saints have their moments too and I love they can let you know just because you're favored by God doesn't mean you won't have moments of weakness, anger and doubt, but the blessing is that Gos still knows about every one of our struggles and will never put more on us than we can bear!



Have Your Way- This is the true worship song of the album, the oen that live Karen will vamp the mess out of it. What a blessed way to wrap up a wonderful album.

"1st let me start off by saying that although I love Karen, I was beginning to lose interest with the latest projects. Don't get me wrong, they all had some good songs on them, but they were not 1/2 as awesome as her original project. I heard the samples of this cd and I was like WOH!! this might be a good one. I bought it on my lunch break and OH BIGARRA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHE BETTA SANG!!!!!! KAREN IS BACK!!! I guess it took getting her own record label so that she could have more control!! The stand out track for me(ALTHOUGH ALL ARE AWESOME..this is not a skippem cd)is "because of you" she toe that up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I mean WOW!!!! another good one was "take me" featuring kierra sheard and angel(Jacky's daughter) and hold up....ANGEL can SANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(like that's a suprise) JUST GO OUT AND GET IT...DON'T BURN IT BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Karen Clark-Sheard never lets me down with her music. But this one? WOW I'm Godly proud of this great woman and her ministry. This album is just AWESOME. From the vocals, to the music, to the powerful lyrics of this album is indeed fantastic. Karen Clark-Sheard's stunning versatility in music has always been very noticeable but this album just proves that she is truly an artist that can give you it all. This contemporary/urban vibe is amazing. After hearing this project I can tell Karen is on another level. This album is just eye popping. I can see this album being known to be as one of the greatest collections to the contemporary/urban gospel music. And the fact that such a GREAT album is under Karen's own record label, `KAREW,' makes it even better.



Now as for the album in depth, it's speaks so much volume on the troubles, struggles, and weaknesses that is going on today. But it also speaks on the blessings, healing, favor, and the mercy and grace of God. This album IS all in one and so is Karen. If you want real and relevant music get this album and you will hear just that! Many people can relate to these songs. When you finish listening to some of the songs you feel so victorious because it's encouraging. It really knows how to lift your spirit. I believe God really downloaded these writers with these powerful lyrics. The tracks are alive from beginning to end! I truly must commend James Moss and J Drew for their HOT production on this album!! James Moss's raw talent of writing music is not to be slept on at all and Karen's son J Drew has really showed his pure and superb love for producing music. It is also very good to see Angel taking part in writing some songs for her aunt in this album. I'm extremely pleased to see the greatness that has been coming out of the Clark Family.



I can see that quite a few of these songs are going to be cross over hits. Songs like "Good," "I Made a Choice," "Have Your Way," and even "He Knows." This album does not only appeal to the Church but it goes outside the four walls of the church and reaches out to the world in a positive way. Overall, the songs like "I Made a Choice," "Crazy Praise," "Blessings," "He Knows," and "Have Your Way" really minister to me and get me going. This album will definitely be on repeat for a long time and I can't WAIT to see what Karen will do with some of these songs live!



This album on a whole has allowed me to understand that through it all you can overcome because God's love forever exists. And once His love is apparent in your life, your problems, sins, struggles can't control your ending. I LOVE IT! You did a magnificent job on this project Karen Clark-Sheard! You've done it again!!
