The best one out there!!!

"There are a few Grafin Mariza's out there but this is the best one by far! Willy Mattes manages to sweep the listener off their feet with the best preformance of an Austrian (technically a Hungarian in Vienna) operetta you can find. With the operatic team of Rothernberger and Gedda together for the preformance it's just hard to lose!
I should also mention that this is one of Kalman's most tuneful and catchy opera's. From the grand opening overture to the immediate gypsy aria preceding it, the pieces just enrapture you from start to finish.
The best word to describe this operetta is 'Lushess'

"Lucky Europeans, who have grown up listening to Kalman's music. Lucky me, an American, who has just discovered this wonderful music! I recently discovered Kalman's music by purchasing a CD at a local music store. I loved it so much that I purchased two more online. Grafin Mariza is by far my favorite. It is a masterpiece. Much to my surprise, I found I had heard several of the melodies from this operetta in the recent past on CDs by Andre Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra. The music in Grafin Mariza is outstanding, the story is delightful, and all of the singers are at their best. Even if you've never heard Kalman's music, get this one."
Ravishing!

"Intoxicatingly gorgeous music! Gedda and Rothenberger have never been better! Hard to believe that anyone could sound as good as Wunderlich, but Gedda pulls it off here and makes it sound effortless."
