CD ReviewsKacy Crowley's music is wonderful 11/05/1998 (5 out of 5 stars) "This CD is truly moving. You can't really fit her style into any one category. A little bit rock, a little bit folk, her unique voice pulls you in and never lets you go. From love songs to songs about growing up, she paints a wonderful picture for you as she sings. The lyrics are especially wonderful and honest. Rebellious, Bottle Cap, Vertigo, and Hand to Mouthville are my easy favorites. I recommend this CD to everyone." Anchorless is an amazingly heartfelt and powerful recording. 10/02/1998 (5 out of 5 stars) "the very first time i heard kacy crowley, i knew i was going to be a fan. a chance to see her perform live arose shortly after this first exposure to her music, so i couldn't pass up the opportunity.... seeing her live, i couldn't help but cry at the beauty of her voice and the sincerity and truthfulness of her lyrics. rebellious, vertigo, hand to mouthville: i found these songs in particular to be moving (along with one that's not on anchorless, but which she promises will be on the next release, so look for that one too!). kacy's sense of humor also shows on anchorless. "singers are ugly" is a fine example of her wit - but don't miss the truthfulness behind the humor there, mind you. in short, ANCHORLESS is an INTELLIGENT, SOULFUL, BITTERSWEET, and intensely PERSONAL work... and is not to be overlooked. i more than recommend this cd; in fact, i pretty much insist that you check it out. if you EVER spend even a moment thinking about your emotions or where they come from, this album is a MUST. but even if you don't think about your emotions - maybe you simply experience them - then you will still not be disappointed with ANCHORLESS." Good voice OK album Louis R Barkley | San Diego, CA | 12/02/1999 (4 out of 5 stars) "I bought this album after hearing Vertigo. Which is probably the best song on this Pop album. If you like the canadian crop of women songwriters you will probably like this."
