"I bought this record because Kacey Jones produced the Kinky Friedman anthology Pearls in the Snow, and I was intrigued by the question of what kind of woman could put up with the Kinkyman long enough to have lunch with him, let alone actually work with him for a time sufficient to produce an album. I don't like chick singers. But if Kacey Jones' tunes are any indication of her inner self: humorous, intellectual and just plain beautiful, I'd like to be first in line to ask her for her hand. 1-900-BUBBA is the funniest song I've heard in a great while. This record should be heard a lot more than it is."
Men are Some of My Favorite People

"Men are Some of My Favorite People is one of my favorite albums. Kacey Jones is a combination of Erma Bombeck and Ray Stevens, and how wonderful for all of us. I still laugh out loud at songs like "1-900-Bubba", and "Put the Seat Back Down". If you're lucky enough to see Kacey in person, you're in for a treat..if you can't see her in person, at least there are albums like "Men are Some of My Favorite People" that give you a glimpse of what this artist can really do...make us examine the "human factor" in relationships and love and laugh at ourselves."

"I've never heard the whole CD, but I HAVE heard "I'm not Bitter" and that song is like total girl-kicks-butt song, I LOVE IT! I'm not a huge country fan, but that's one song that I can handle. Esp, when your trying to get over an ex-boyfriend (believe me it helps!) "if you were here right now I'd rub your face in kitty litter..." yup, she rocks."
Kacey Jones Hits Home

"Singer-songwriter Kacey Jones hits the nail right on the thumb when it comes to musically describing the ever-so-frustrating elements of dealing with the male of the species. She is wickedly funny, with a great voice and super taste in musical accompaniment. While she gets in lots of clever jabs to the guys, she always manages to turn the song around with a little needling aimed at the fairer sex, proving that love-induced insanity is an equal opportunity adventure! This is such a fun album--the next best thing to seeing her live. In case you're wondering, men love her! Hey, any woman who can get macho backup singers to don purple boas must have something going for her!"
