Music is at the heart of what makes Ka`anapali Beach Hotel so unique. Employees serenade guests in the lobby and courtyard throughout the week. Recently our employee choir won first place in the Visitor Industry Song Competition. this is the third year in a row we have taken top honors. We've recorded our favorite songs to share with you. You'll hear the voices of employees from all departments including Housekeeping, Rooms, engineering, Human Resources, Accounting, Food and Beverage, Sales, Guest Services, and our Cultural Resource staff. It's our way of sharing aloha. We thank God for blessing our staff with beautiful voices. We are also grateful to our General Manager Mike White. In 1986 Mike had the vision to make Ka`anapali Beach Hotel a place where the Hawaiian culture would be honored and perpetuated. That year makrd the beginning of Ke Kula O ka Po`okela or The School of Excellence. "Po`okela" as it is lovingly known, is a process that all employees are a part of. We are encouraged to learn about all aspects of our island home including Hawaiian history, geography, mythology, and or course, Hawaiian music. It was, and is, Mike's dream to have Ka`anapali Beach Hotel be the "singing-est" hotel in the world. After you listen to this music, we think you'll agree. We also want to thank Rudy Aquino of RAM Studio for his expertise in recording, and for his endless patience. Our hope is that you will feel the warmth of our employees as we sing from the heart.
