"This is the third CD I have by this talented duo. To think, their first CD was given to me as a gift from a Hawaiian friend almost five years ago and I've been hooked ever since! This collection is a must have...get it, listen, feel good and smile. A friend heard this while with me and HAD to know the title/artist so that he could run out and get it right away...the Hawaiian music following continues to expand outside paradise! Mahalo to the islanders for sharing their talent, good vibrations and happy spirits with the rest of us on the mainland and beyond!"
Extremely fantastic!

"Seems like if you have been to Hawaii, you will have heard this music before at the Airport or in Waikiki or on TV.I am a resident who lived in Hawaii for half my life, and then lived internationally for a long time. I have been away from Hawaiian music for some time. I was in a used book store on Oahu today and I heard track #11, Wahine Ilikea. Somehow it struck me as the best ever rendition of Wahine Ilikea that I have ever heard. When I asked for tha album name the man in the music store got all excited and he suggested that if I haven't heard this album then I would love to hear another abum and he recommended my favorite Hawaiian group.Just from that alone I deduced that this CD must be a great Hawaiian classic. It is said that this song compares the white clouds of Molokai to a woman. On the side of Molokai that is away from the tradewinds, there is a place called Kamalo`oa, and legend has it that there is a lava tube that connects to the north coas, and people lived in the tube.As a bonus you also get a great song #7 Kawika.Must get it."
This is truly a collection of their greatest songs!

"Not only does it have the great hits like Opihi Man, Carly Rose, Surf, Brown Eyed Girl, it has new songs and some not-so-popular greats! I love Guava Jelly!!!! The music makes you want to get up and dance and sing out aloud and helps soothe the homesick pangs! This is a great introduction to contmeporary hawaiin music for the non-hawaiian, as most of the songs are in English with a nice ukulele touch! I highly recommend this CD to kama'ainas and malihinis alike!"

"This is an wonderful collection of carefree Hawaiian tunes and contemporary pop songs sung "Island Style!" From the reggae sounding 'Tropical Hawaiian Day' to the more traditional 'Kawika' and the unexpected 'Elvira' you'll feel the gentle ocean breeze and the aloha spirit surround you.
Great music for an evening around the pool and be sure you're drinking something fruity with an umbrella in it. Relax, enjoy and stay until the bar is closed!"
Mmmmm..... brings back memories.

"I have been to Hawaii twice and until recently, never looked into Hawaiian music. I always assumed it was all like Don Ho or the crying steel guitars of the 60's and 70's. The funny thing is, I don't remember hearing any of that kind of music while I was there. I remember hearing a different style of music played live at the hotels and resturaunts. On my first trip, I have a vivid memory of laying in bed trying to go to sleep about 8:00 pm. My wife and I had just arrived that day and had jet lag. We were listening to the music coming from the resturaunt outside our hotel. We both thought, we are so tired that we should be angry about this, but this music is really good. Since our last trip, I got to wondering if anyone has ever recorded that style of music because I really liked it. Simple music, with a guitar and Uke, but with a style that has Hawaii written all over it. Based on a recomendation from a Hawaiian themed website, I tried this CD without ever hearing it. What a pleasant surprise. This CD has become one of my favorites. In fact, Brown Eyed Girl reminds me so very much of the group that played in Waikiki that first night back in '92 that I sometimes wonder if it was the Crater Boys playing that night. Soon after getting this CD, I began to order the other CD's by the Crater Boys. I love their music and so does most everyone I play it for."
