"I found this used with no case in some hiphop store in Sacramento. Didn't know who KRS-One was, but something compelled me to buy it. This album changed my life. I never liked hiphop before because the MC's always seemed so lame, but KRS showed me it can be done right with this album. I still haven't found an emcee that even comes close.

This album is all about the lyrics. Don't let the production fool you...it may sound lo-fi and crappy, but that just causes you to focus on the lyrics all the more and then you realize the production is perfect and couldn't be any other way.;)

I like this album much more than the very similar Mixtape because it contains the track "Believe It" which brings me to tears every single time. That track is the best HipHop I have ever heard."
