"DO NOT BUY THIS CD! There is something wrong with the way it was manufactured. I bought one through Amazon.com and two from Collector's Choice Music. ALL THREE COPIES are DUDS! The entire CD is muffled and scratched and you cannot hear or understand anything being played. Rhino put this out, if I'm not mistaken, and they did a horrible job on recording it. SAVE YOUR MONEY! DON'T BUY THIS CD!"

"First things first: this is excellent music, and that's why I'm giving this five stars. Each song is a fine example of mid-70s danceable R&B music, full of the horns, percussion, and easy to remember lyrics that characterize the music of the Sunshine Band. But why was this CD released in the first place? All of these songs can be found on the Rhino "25th Anniversary Collection" and all but "It's the Same Old Song" are on the Rhino one-CD greatest hits. So what's the point? The cover photo seems incomplete, too - there's something essential missing. Oh well, I guess one can never have too many copies of "Shotgun Shuffle.""

"KC and the Sunshine Band had nine Top 40 hits in the latter half of the Seventies combining disco and R&B and they're all here along with "Queen of Clubs," which hit No. 7 in the UK in 1974 before their first US hit (rereleased in 1976 it hit No. 66 in the US); the instrumental "Shotgun Shuffle," which peaked at No. 88, and "Wrap Your Arms Around Me," originally the b-side of "I'm You Boogie Man" and reached No. 48. If you're looking for a single disc that contains all the hits from this interracial goodtime party band, this is it. RECOMMENDED"
