Justin Jude will keep you alive.
Recently named Oregon's Best Singer/Songwriter 2007 at the Bite of Oregon festival, Justin weds right-on rock with flagrant folk to make "dustbowl pop" - a musty mix rough to the touch and sweet on the tongue. Drawing on rock, folk, R&B, gospel and his classical training, Justin's music can appear in any guise at any time - like the spirit when it decides to move you.
And all of it is delivered with a soul-shattering voice equal parts angel and devil.
With the November 2007 release of his sophomore studio album, "Truce", Justin takes his folk-rock roots into uncharted territory. The album, produced by Rob Stroup (Scott Fisher, Imprints) features Stephanie Schneiderman, Chris Robley, Ezra Holbrook (Dr. Theopolis), Rachel Taylor Brown and members of March Fourth Marching Band.
Described by one reviewer as "Pete Yorn meets Pete Seeger," Justin is known for his acrobatic voice, huge range and inventive guitar work. The fusion of so many styles and a one-of-a-kind voice, makes "Truce" destined for popular and radio appeal.
His 2005 album, "It's Love It's Love It's Love," has been a huge self-released success, taking off in online sales and featured on both web and college radio.
