"Without question, one of the best and most consistent hard pop records in the last 20 years. The fact that the Junk Monkeys never had even moderate success (think Westerberg) remains one of the great tragedies of the "lost" early 90's when so many great bands got overshadowed by Nirvana. Combined with their fantastic first record, "Five Star Fling", "Bliss" completed an incredible one-two punch that, unfortunately for Junk Monkeys, couldn't be categorized--and therefore mass marketed--by a major label. The fact that none of these songs have been covered by today's posers is mind-boggling."

"I got a promo copy of this album when I worked at my college newspaper. Cut after cut is just awesome. I did not want it to end. Shame these guys never hit it big, they deserved much better. Fans of Replacements and Goo Goo Dolls should not miss this one."

One of the Best Discs of the 90s!!!

"This forgotten gem rates up there with the best of the Replacements, Soul Asylum and early Goo Goo Dolls. The guitars buzz and whir around the singer's gravelly voice while the rhythm section bears down to keep up. "Edison" remains one of those great goose-bump songs. "Bliss," "I Got Fear" and "Satisfied" are also incredible. Strangely, this disc gets better with each passing year. It sounds like it was recorded last month, not 15 years ago. This is simply a classic rock and roll/indie rock record. Period."
