"Junior is still great on this album, even at the ripe old age of 80. Mance has set himself up well with the backing of two new, great young players in Ryan Anselmi on the tenor and Andrew Hadro on the barry. Anselmi, originally from Kansas City brings that classic KC sound to this album and group. Hadro plays strong and forceful. Together both compliment each wonderfully in this album. Hide Tanaka is solid as ever as well.
If you are looking for a classic sound like Junior Mance this is a good album. If you are wanting a little of the old, with some robust, energetic and impressive new talent, then this album is great."
