"Junction 18 sounds like a much poppier version of Lifetime; for the most part. The lyrics are well-written, and the musicianship is very good as well. Fearless Records classifies them as a mix between Weezer and Saves the Day, but I really don't here any Weezer in the mix of things. Anyways, so long as your not totally opposed to the ever so popular emo/punk hybrid, you should go buy this CD right away."
Easily the best "pop/punk emo" CD of all time.

"That's right, not only is this the best I've ever heard, it is certainly the best ever. I'm not a huge fan of the genre, but I bought this for no particular reason at a store when I saw they were on Fearless, and I'm very glad that I did. Sweet Steps, June and the Ocean, Granite Street Knife Fight, Adrift, Lucky as Mars, and Lost in Adeline are the best, but of course all the songs are terrific. Above the Avenue is my least favorite, it sounds slightly too much like Blink 182 to me, but I still enjoy it. Anyway, there's nothing much else to say. Just buy it."

"Putting everything good about this new school pop-punk stuff into a single record is Boston's Junction 18 and their Fearless debut "This Vicious Cycle". Straight out of the veins of bands like Saves The Day, Junction 18 has a technical and very tight sound that floats through the sea of sound waves perfectly mixing in with the easy melodies, emotional vocals, and the soothing feel that this 5 piece pumps out. Many question the originality in this genre of music but Junction 18 has the power and musical talent to break away from the other similar artists and put together a pop-punk record that you can put under your pillow while you sleep at night. Picking favorites on a record like this is pretty impossible. You listen to a song and your like "Man that song rocks, its my favorite on the record!" and then the next track gives you the same feeling. Some of the highlights, for me, are "Sweet Steps", "Lucky As Mars", "Turnabout", and "Granite Street Night Fight". Saves The Day fans DO NOT MISS this release. These guys have so much talent and song-writing ability it is unbelievable."
Best album of the year...

"Junction 18's debut album "This Vicious Cycle" is the best CD I've heard in a long time. With slow, melodic "Adrift" to hard, fast paced "Granite Street Knife Fight" you'll never take this one outta your cd player. If you like Weezer, A New Found Glory, or Saves The Day then buy this CD. You won't be disapointed."
