Synopsis

Album Description
For centuries the legend has been carried, in frightened hearts, on trembling lips of generations of storytellers from ancient China to modern Hong Kong. They whisper tales of a mysterious, magnificent device created by the most ruthless emperor to assassinate his enemies. Many a man has lost his head to the shadows when the Flying Guillotine strikes. Few warriors had the focus to master this devastating weapon, but one has emerged from the myth?to use his lethal knowledge and display his deadly skill as the Guillotine takes flight once again?

CD Reviews

The guy can rap, man!
Dr. Dogbreath | Maumee, OH USA | 05/25/2005
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Man, I'm seein' a lot of good reviews for this CD, but also a lot of really stale ones, and I can't figure out why. Jumpsteady is in my opinion one of the most creative rappers on Psychopathic. While he doesn't really think of rap as a career, and is more of a behind the scenes kinda guy, he can really put out some dope stuff when he puts his mind to it. What I like is that he raps about things EVERYONE can relate to. There's gangster songs, nerd songs, fantasy songs, songs about chicks, murder raps, all that! Who else do you see spittin' rhymes about Dungeons and Dragons?! Nobody, that's who. So give this album a try. You might like it.

Standout Tracks:

13th Skull- SWEET storytelling aspects. Probably one of the coolest song intros I've ever heard.

If- More great storytelling. I love how the verses repeat and change different things about the situation.

Master of the Flying Guillotine- Straight up cool song. Great beat, love the chorus.

Dungeon Master- Once again, anyone who raps about DnD must be totally cool."
Jumpsteady Put A Lot of Effort Into This One
Ian Scottish | New York | 03/27/2005
(3 out of 5 stars)

"Sure, Jumpsteady may not be the greatest at rapping on Psychopathic...he doesn't even really consider himself a rapper, but he really puts his heart and mind into what he does. Master of the Flying Guillotine deffinatly has a lot of highlight tracks. The most notable to me are : "Master of the Flying Guillotine", "Ima", "My Mans an Them", "Spur of the Moment", and "Crazy Straight". The guest appearances for the most part were also some of the highlights of the album. Myzery tares it up on "My Mans an Them" and Delusional (Jump's hypeman) does a great job on "Spur of the Moment". J makes an appearance on "Ima" which isn't bad although it sounds like it was written on the spot. Down sides of the album were that I did not find the second half of the CD to be as enjoyable. And as much as I know he loves to feature his daughter and all that stuff, "Battlefield" was pretty irritating (much more so than her hidden track on his first CD). Master of the Flying Guillotine was also missing the political tracks that made The Chaos Theory so great. Over all, I liked The Chaos Theory better since it was more consistant and had more meaning to me, but I give Jumpsteady credit for trying something new. Hey, anyone who can make tracks about being a nerdy teen playing Dungeons and Dragons is obviously real and unashamed of who they are...and I give much props to that."
