An Old Flame

"Despite her 1981 album Juice and 1982's Quiet Lies being major hits on both pop and country, Old Flame (1985) is to me the quissessential Juice Newton album to own. There isn't a bad song on the set and the album launched 5 singles all of them hits. The country poppy and insanely catchy "You Make Me Want To Make You Mine" was just one a number of #1 and top ten hits from the album, and in the same vein as "You Make Me..." is one of my all time favorite Juice Newton songs, "What Can I Do With My Heart".
Her ballads on Old Flame are also killer tracks, the title tune is great and her performance on "Hurt" leaves absolutely no doubt in her talent.
Her panache for oldies and rock/pop from her previous albums are still here albeit in a more countrified form - her version of "Cheap Love" is another one of my all time fav Juice Newton songs.
This is a must - and it should be noted the CD also contains her duet with Eddie Rabbit on "Both To Each Other" adding yet another hit single to the set."
