CD ReviewsDeep Molten Heart Lee Armstrong | Winterville, NC United States | 10/31/2009 (4 out of 5 stars) "It's been nine years since Edelman's "Drama Queen" dominated my changer. Her fourth CD starts with two blockbuster tracks. "Magnetic" is a haunting track about what may happen when there is a magnetic polar shift, "In the deep molten heart where these strange attractions start, if we are passionate, will this rock remember it? Is electricity all there is to you & me?" "Karma, Jane" has Edelman's stately piano that may elicit Joni Mitchell comparisons on an original melody and Edelman's quirky lyric, "Welcome to the true eternity, little lifetimes on a chain, Hope you like each other's company, endlessly." "Meet Me There" is also an excellent track with Judith's lyrics domestic and eccentric, "Household sung by faucets leaking & refrigerator humming, My foot taps out the refrain, be right back!" The rocker "Dead Slow" flattens out the melodic component a bit, but lyrically Edelman is in fine form, "I can feel an invitation breathing down my neck; There's a bunch of angels cringing while the fool picks up the check." "Clear Glass Jar" is a welcome return from delightful singer/songwriter. Enjoy!"
