"By far one of the most outstanding hard trance hits from the end of the 20th Century, "Pistolwhip" by Joshua Ryan is spun by DJs around the globe. While nothing can top hearing this worked into a set at a party, every single time I hear this song I am reminded of the greatest achievements of man. This song is breathing proof that music can be engineered to be beautiful. Ryan brilliantly achieves weaving emotion, drive, and motive power into his work. If one word needed to summarize the entire feel of this track: ambition. If you are a fan of hard trance and massive build-ups, you need to have this song on disc."

"I first heard this song at the end of a CD by DJ Sandy in Orlando. I loved it, and I wanted to hear all the different mixes of it. This is one of my very favorite electronica songs. It has probably the best build-up I've ever heard. Although I haven't heard it played at a party or club yet, every time I listen to it I can just picture the crowd going wild. You've got to hear this song!"
