Great music! Poor Remastering.

"The two stars are given to be digital remastering of this Album. The album itself deserves a four star rating!
Beginning in 1963, RCA invented a LP manufacturing method called DYNAGROOVE. The sole purpose was to make the reproduced sound come out of the average less expensive stereo system (turntable with inferior stylus) to be smoother. In the process of doing that, the technology actually cut off both the high and low end of the frequency spectrum. The end result, of course, was a very dull and stagnant sound! This vinyl pressing method continues till the 70's.
Having said that, I must say that the present Japaness-pressing CD version of THAT THE SPIRIT NEEDS sounds exactly like the LP version: extremely dull! Needless to say, I'm extremely disappointed. Perhaps, the original LP was used in the remastering process. Although I didn't buy the rest of the 2010 Jose Feliciano Japanese pressings: 10 TO 23, AND THE FEELINGS GOOD, FELICIANO, FREE SOUL, I have a feeling they're going to have the exact DULL sound.
