"I've always been a dedicated fan of Anderson's spitiruality. Not only through some of its lyric but also by the way he put faith in music. Angel Embrace is an absolute masterpiece. Not only for the wonderful short intro Myo Maya (an opening anthem) til the last note of the CD.
I discovered the power of this album when I played it, in my church, one evening after evensong, when everybody was gone, and I was alone. with the space, the candles, the altar and the cross, and when the music started.....the magic happened.
It was like if the whole choir of heaven was rehearsing Angel Embrace ...Like if some beams of music were filling the whole church, Like a new pentacost, a musical one...
It just sounded like if a new hymnal book from Heaven was being played in my little church... WAOH! that's all I can say in human language....It was probably the strongest religious experience I ve ever made in my carrier as an Anglican minister..
So, go, buy it, turn the volume up, dim the lights in your living room, lighten a candle and enjoy ....A gift from Heaven to Mankind"

"If you've only ever heard Jon Anderson in Yes, this album will be quite a shock to you. Jon has laid down a very beautiful album that consists of primarily instrumental music.Relying heavily on synthesizers, Jon crafts a very "realistic" sonic landscape. The listener doesn't so much as hear this music as experience it.It's almost minimilist, but it's also very emotional: two qualities that are very difficult to pull off together. Turn the lights down, get a good, hot cup of tea, and let this music wrap you in Jon's Angel's Embrace."
Very Soothing

"I found this CD to be very soothing. Had a bad day? Just put on this CD and feel the tension flow out of you. Not a lot of words to distract you. And what words there are give you a feeling of peace."
Glimpses of beauty

"This is a 'slow' album in the best sense of the word - slow to get into perhaps but once you do you'll begin to appreciate the way it slowly evolves. The strong but subtle melodies unravel and develop so gradually that you have to adjust your way of listening so as not to miss them. Which of course makes this perfect music for relaxing or unwinding to.The album is mostly instrumental, played on keyboards, with warm textures and the occasional gentle song. The songs don't break the mood but complement the instrumental pieces in style and theme. While certainly more suited to late night home listening than the car, 'Angels Embrace' is rewarding listening, whether in the foreground or background, and offers some glimpses of genuine beauty."
Jon's Adventures in Space

"Breaking new ground for Jon is nothing new. "Angles Embrace" is sonic, airy (almost spacey), meditative, soothing and totally relaxing! His occasional vocals only enhance the overall effect. Synthesized music leans heavily on tonal blendings and harmonics and less on rhythm. Nature sounds blend perfectly into the background. Play this CD in repeat mode and it's hard to tell where the last track ends and the first begins. A excellent addition for Anderson fans."
