"I love this album - from its first strum to the last beat on the homemade drum. The loss of the art of Mento is regrettable. Smart lyrics and cheeky themes dominate. As it has been said of Mento: "Mento is used to ridicule members of the social group or censure them for some misdeed".The music of the Jolly Boys is to be treasured and revered - light melodic touch and heavy prereggae groove(one drop stylee). If youre into dub + early reggae(Leslie Kong era) - this will fill the void to tell you where a lot of the lyrical and rhythmic ideas came from. Lovely. Pass the rum punch..."
