20 R&B tracks recorded between 1953-1963
for the King/Federal labels. Includes the
1962 hit single "Cuttin' In." The version
of "Those Lonely Lonely Nights" here is a
re-do of the original 1955 hit, which was
recorded for another label. "Gangster of
Love" is from a 1963 session; Watson would
remake this song in the late 1970s. (And,
of course, there's the Steve Miller Band
version....)
"Space Guitar" is a great instrumental
(both versions)!
