This is the original recording and release of John Trudell's 1983 album Tribal Voice. Produced by Jackson Browne and accompanied by Quiltman, Trudell's debut album expresses the power and insight of the activist through spoken word performance over traditional music.

This album was originally released only on cassette and a limited run of CD's was produced from the original master tapes in 2003. This CD is from that production run.

This is the original recording digitally re-mastered. Nothing has been re-mixed!
