CD Reviews

One of Tesh's Best
T. B. Vick | The Lone Star State | 10/22/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"John Tesh is probably one of the most under rated musicians alive today. When, in fact, he is one of the best musicians on the planet. This album demonstrates just how wonderfully talented Tesh actually is. This is one of his best albums ever, along with Grand Passion. Tesh's music is extremely versatile and covers a broad range of styles, textures, audience range. The songs on just this single album range from soft piano ballads to a more up tempo beat to Spanish dance to Brassy faster moving songs. John Tesh proves that he is a very capable song writer with a passionate style and pure down to earth presentation of music that not only moves your spirit but lifts your soul. The video of the performance of this particular CD (with a few extra songs) also demonstrates that Tesh is a very dynamic performer who keeps his audience's attention from beginning to end. If you love instrumental music that has a wide range of sound then you will thoroughly enjoy this album."
Very relaxing
G. Sawaged | Canada | 01/06/2001
(4 out of 5 stars)

"This album was inspired by John's trips to Italy and Santa Catalina Island. This is beautiful music, in the 'new age' style. He is not jazz, so cannot be compared to the piano greats, the likes of Oscar Peterson or Bill Evans, as another reviewer suggested. No. John's style is completely different. Some tracks have an orchestral feel, while others use sparse instrumentation. Charlie Bisharat on violin is brilliant. This is music to relax by...perfect for a hot summers day. "Spanish Steps" is a stand-out track with its flamenco touch."
John Tesh is amazing
Bill | Mahwah | 04/29/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This CD was just the best CD that I have ever heard. While all the other Cd's are amazing that he put out, this one just tops them all. I can't wait until he puts out another album. This CD really should be about 50 stars but they only let me put out up to five. E-mail me if you wanna join the John Tesh fan club."
