"With the success of A Go Go and Bump, I guess this isn't surprising. This album is a collection of some of his funkier tracks from the late 80s and early to mid 90s. As these things go it's not bad, but the original albums are still in print and are better. If you want a good dose of the funky Sco, you're better off getting "Hand Jive" and "Groove Elation", which account for 7 of the 11 tracks included here. The other 4 tracks lean more towards his fusion/bop style."
A great Scofield album (again!)

"I consider Steady Groovin' one of John Scofield's best albums ever. The band here is at its best and the collected songs reflect all Scofield's maturity as a contemporary jazz composer. I strongly recommend this album for those who appreciate Scofield's style."
Yet another steady grooving release from the master

"Excellent track list, sick Scofield laying down sick riffs. If you haven't heard John, grab this to groove on and "Bump" or "A Go Go" to really get moving."
