"This is a really awesome CD, it is better than Reuben's first two CD's. I especially like the song "Move". the music video for it is the funniest thing you have ever seen.I would say to buy this great CD."
Just got it, but here's my first impression...

"Wow! Great rhymes! This guy gives hope to all us white rappers who have to lean on our rhyming skills instead of a cool voice. This album is a lot looser than Hindsight, which is hard to imagine, but it's a GOOD thing. Hindsight is def. one of the best rap albums I've ever heard, but this used a little rougher drum samples, and some live drums, from the sound of it. Todd Collins is gone from this one, I miss his golden touch, but C.R. Pendleton (from Forty Days Tempted), Grant Harrison ("Bassist Extraordinaire, and sometimes I play guitar, but you know how that goes...heh heh"), Toby Mac, and Joey Elwood (Gotee President) helped John produce it. Still John did a great job producing it, his touch is the main influence, lots of old-school, gritty beats. Toby Mac had a little too strong of a touch on "Life is Short", but other than that no complaints. AND...DUH DUH DUN! Surprise! The female vocs on "I haven't been myself" SAY it's Adrienne Camp, that's cuz it is, but at least one review has to point out that that's really Adrienne Liesching from The Benjamin Gate, but her name's different cuz she married Jeremy Camp. So that was cool, hearing her oh-so-jaw-droppingly-GORGEOUS voice on a hip-hop track. She does some of the other female vocals on the album, like on "Freedom to Feel". Dang, I miss The Benjamin Gate! "Five years to write" is a great track, I know which girl in MY life it makes me think of! :) And DJ Manuel shows off his scratching skio's on this one more, which is good cuz he's loaded with them. This is definitely still John Reuben, but a cool, rough, funky new sound. Any John Reu fan simply CAN'T dislike this album. Just had it for a few hours, so my thoughts may change, but usually an album takes time for me to like it, this one I KNOW is quality! Peace! Enjoy! I'm out!"
John Reuben - 4 1/2 stars for Talented Rhymer/Rapper

"John Reuben is in a class all his own.
If I were to put him in a group with any one group or singer, it would be KJ-52, who are in my mind the two best rappers in Christian music.
It's amazing how he can blend such silly tunes, funny (and clever) lyrics and his comical voice. He is pherhaps the goofiest singer in all of music today. But dont take that for weakness. John Reuben, "Professional Rapper" (as he very much is)is very good at what he does. But he also loves God, as you can tell. And he gets that message across through each funny song. He will be a joy to your music collection."
