"John Paul, a morph of Brian Wilson, Niel Sedaka and Andy Williams, has created a turgid aural hypnosonic psychoromp into easy listening Satanic snorkle smurf rock revealed through a dream of his in a vision by the Dark One himself. An absolute MUST HAVE for any music listener, this collection of surf tripe will find you... Its pure brilliance lies in its unabashed banal crooning of down's syndrome inducing glib gabba-gabba hey hoo doo hit lyrics and slurpy syrupy swooning synthethic beats and solos. It all just fills my soul to the rim. I will never forget "The Moon is God's Flashlight," because I'm so attracted to it. Bong along with the antichrist and you too will go Coco-Loco. You won't belive it!"

"Upon review of this Comedic yet Classic barrage of countless hits we can't decide whether to dive head first into a rock pit or lay these smash tunes on to unsuspecting innocent friends. To be truthful we enjoyed listening to this album to the very last song! Such hits as "Turn and Burn" and " Hidden Falls" made our blood boil with excitement and were pure listening "delight". This is a must for any elevator music system and telephone hold lines - sure to bring a smile to even the gruffest listener. Seriously John Paul rocks! In conclusion we are happy to admit that we have gone where only John Paul has dared - "Coco-Loco"."

"It is a rare occurrence when the listening pleasure of a single album can change your life, but John Paul's "Splashing" has done this and more. From the the wacky-coo-coo Coco-Loco, the soul penetrating emotions of love found, lost, and found again of Billy Boy, to the whimsical and downright cross-species erotica of Serena, John Paul takes the music lover on a romp of fun in the sun rarely seen this side of a Jimmy Buffet bootleg marathon. If this release is any sign of things to come, John Paul will never have to dive a dumpster to eat; "Splashing" is the perfect place for a picnic...perfect place for a pic-nic."

"Ever wonder what lots of dough and lots of time on your hands sounds like when you blend it with a healthy passion for cheez-whiz? Look no longer, audiophile. John Paul's "Splashing" would've ended up in some dusty corner near the fishbowl in my audio collection had it not been for its sheer and total disregard for musical convention and, well, of music itself. Rich in non sequitors and histrionics, the album is a landmark in music, although John Paul himself would never know it. The 12 song release won a "special achievement" citation in the Los Angeles 2000 music awards, but for what, we're left to guess. Bottom line: this album is absolute "must-have"; in a day and age where most artists don't have the balls to profess "how attacted they are to you" in a song, John Paul gives us over 40 minutes of tunes that are sure to break up even the most ragin kegger. DO NOT MISS THIS RELEASE!"
