CD ReviewsA Great Album of Music from Multi-Talented John O'Hurley Toby Martin II | Erskine, Minnesota United States | 04/12/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) ""SECRETS FROM THE LAKE": Shades of Debussy... This simple, yet extraordinarily profound music--composed and performed by pianist John O'Hurley and cellist Marston Smith--is as inspiring as it is relaxing. Inspiring because the music sweeps over one's thoughts, shutting out (even if only for a little while) the problems clouding our world and our lives; and allows the mind to be calmed and redirected to focus on matters that we can control and improve upon... while reflecting on all that is good on this earth and in our personal lives. Not being familiar with Marston Smith (other than through this beautiful recording), I'll conclude this review by simply expressing my admiration of the multi-talented John O'Hurley. While he may be known by most as the eccentric J. Peterman on the classic "Seinfeld" sitcom; and by the gentlemanly manner in which he hosts television game shows ("Family Feud," et al), he is a truly fine writer; encompassing in his works not just his special sense of humor, but his sincere expression of meaningful insights into conducting one's life with integrity... and instilling in a child the virtues of being always open and honest... and treating others with the dignity that everyone deserves. Bravo Mr. O'Hurley! --Ron Howe (aka 'Toby Martin II) / Erskine, Minnesota " A secret worth revealing Betty E. Hardy | 07/06/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) "This is a great album from a person who really has a gift for music. John OHurley has a second career to fall back on after leaving TV if he chooses to. Keep up the great work."
