"A friend put me on to this album and I was just blown away. I loved every single song-- they made me nod my head, laugh, and want to cry. Though the music was great, the cleverness and timeliness of the lyrics are what has made me listen to this album over and over again. McCutcheon says things I want to say about today's political climate, only he says them better. He's a modern day Jonathan Swift. I hope he puts out more like this one."

"I wouldn't go so far as to say that "any liberal worth his or her salt" should buy this album. I don't think that a progressive is defined by specifically what he or she believes, but rather his or her worldview of progress for the sake of all humankind and fair treatment towards all.
That said, this is a great record filled with some of my favorite McCutcheon tunes. Even a conservative who disagreed with every sentiment on the album could find excellent instrumentalism and superior musical craftsmanship, not to mention some good sarcastic jabs that anyone with a sense of humor would think are funny, whether or not they agreed with it."
