"The Lost Weekend was when many fans breathed a sigh of relief for a year and a half when John & Yoko seperated. This was a roller-coaster period for him as we all know. "Nobody Loves You (When You're Down and Out)" describes this. "Whatever Gets You Through the Night" gave him his first solo #1 in the US, and agreed to appear with Elton John at Madison Square Garden, which was the last real concert Lennon did. "Ya Ya", a '50s chestnut recorded in ordinace with the legal settlement with Morris Levy over "Come Together" (you know the story, he'd say), has son Julian on snare drum.
This is supposed to be the next album to be reissued and remastered by Yoko. She only had this one out in the land of her birth. She should add all the originals from "Menlove Avenue", a 1987 release she of course set up, as well as the B-side "Move Over Ms. L", and maybe some long lost material held in storage at the Dakota and/or the Capitol/EMI vaults."
