Peace, Love & an Excellent Compilation

"I bought this album intrigued by its contents: 3 versions of "Give Peace A Chance?" How is this possible? Aside from the original (track 18), The 2005 Remix is undeniably the best of the three. Indeed, the message itself is pertinent to the trying times facing our world today, but the song itself proves that music is the universal language of peace. The track is brilliantly recorded by some of Asia's best musicians contributing to a remarkable, if simple, peace anthem that continues to ring true to this day.
The second version of "Give Peace A Chance" was performed by Yoko Ono in the wake of the attacks on Spetember 11. Another good version of the same classic.
Overall, the album is perfect. It is far better than the Definitive Lennon album released October 2005, mainly due to the added surprises like the afore mentioned versions of "Give Peace A Chance," and Ono's "Listen The Snow Is Falling". The updated, remixed versions of classic hits also add charm and a sense of "Lennon Today" to the ardent Lennon fan. The entore album is comprised of songs about Peace, Love, and Truth - elements we seem to lack lately in our society. The dream lives on...

"Give Me Some Truth By John Lennon. Is yet another best of collection by the late and great John Lennon. Acoustic Released: 1 November 2004,Peace, Love & Truth,Released: 4 August 2005,Working Class Hero: The Definitive Lennon Released: 3 October 2005,
The U.S. vs. John Lennon Released: 25 September 2006 & Remember Released: 2006.
One has to only wonder how many more gretest hit records will be released in the future. This cd is a lot like Imagin & The U.S. Vs John Lennon. So if you like the political version of John Lennon then you will want this cd in your collection. Note this is suppose to be an import but I wonder. I rated three stars simply because there in nothing fresh or new about it that would make it stand out from the rest.
My thought is why so many greatest hits records? Why has Yoko Ono, The record companys or his esstate not releaced more live records?
Cheers Rick Glenn"
