"not enough good songs. john tries to mix really rootsy songs with love ones on this album. but the mixture does not work well. the roots songs blatantly outweighs the "pop" songs. let me give an example. i like the title track and "I got caught." the latter is about taking responsibility for one's action,in this case stealing. but songs like beach party and fat she fat spoil the album. this is definitely not an all roots album, although most of the songs are from the roots tradition."
