Album Description Elephant Country is an acoustic masterpiece, blending thought provoking lyrics with haunting, beautiful melodies and first class instrumentation. The range of instruments used on this album is staggering: didjeridoo from Australia, djembe and conga drums from Africa, hand made wind chimes, gongs, fretless bass, mandolin, cello and violin as well as acoustic guitars and keyboards. Elephant Country takes you on an emotional tailspin through upbeat, rambling songs such as "Sun Rose" and "My Merry Go Round" to deep, moving spiritual songs such as "Sothisis" and "Marrach Rong". Percussionist Clay Green paints sonic pictures with his use of melodic drums, cymbals, chimes and shakers, while bassist and keyboardist Ken Nelson fills each song with rich harmonies and tasteful bass riffs.
