"hart is really an underrated guitarist. his first album with blue note in 1990 [one down -out of print] had shown that hart is a guitarist with a passion for daring exploratory improvisation and at the same time can write good melodies. in this album, his fourth overall and second with concord, together with chris potter he gave us an album worth every dollar. his music [if u have to classify] is more toward post-bop. but he is progressive enough to play beyond the usual chord progression and genuinely producing good original music. it seems that there is no new record from him after this album. a pity, really."
