"Yes, The Kunks are for The Kinks what The Rutles were for The Beatles. No less than 15 pastiches of Kinks hits but I'm not going to reveal which ones The Kunks released on this CD. Some songtitles offer very obvious clues for the avid Kinksfans but music lovers who own a Kinks compilation CD should be able to recognize most of the songs as well.

Every song has its' own liners' notes which are very funny too. For instance, the liners' notes of Charlie Watts reveal that the Kunks drummer was so apalled by this ode to the Stones drummer that in protest he just stuck with drumming the beat from "Satisfaction" under the entire song.

Great stuff, very original."
