"This extended piece by Cale evokes fascinating pictures of Nico. Since Cale knew Nico very well, it is interesting for those of us who know something about her to listen here. The music actually delivers less information about the ballet itself. It works well on its own. I would love to see the ballet, but have concern that it would work against the images of Nico herself that the music brings up. The more you know about Nico, and for her greatest fans, this music is "must listening"."

"I knew Nico, well at least it seemed to me that way at the time, and this CD evokes Nico in ways that may not be perceived by everyone - hence its accuracy and artistry may be hidden sometime.John Cale is a very welsh international composer, and this is reflected in about almost everythinh he does. There is a homeliness, care and love about his work that seems to escape the more commercially popular Lou Reed (whom I also admire).regards,martyn_jones@iniciativas.com"
