What a waste!

"Please do not watch the film , it is terrible!,. But the score is , again, John Barry in his perfection.
The melody is beautiful. The orchestrations terrific. i am still wondering why , sometimes terrible film , have these beautiful scores. What a waste. This score is a must have for all the fans of Barry and for those who like great music in general"

"John Barry's score to "The Specialist" is great. Too bad I can't say that about the movie. I don't understand how a score as good as this one can go to such a terrible movie. Barry uses wonderful themes in this score and great dramatic cues such as the tracks "The First Bomb" and "Explosive Trent" you can almost imagine what's happening just by listening to them. If you like John Barry scores, I highly recommend this one."

"Forget the negative badmouthing! The film was great: excellent story, terrific actors (the shower scene with Stone and Stalone is just beautiful, Wood is impeccable as usual, Roberts does it right for a change, Steiger is a bit hammy, and the rest of cast is perfect), excellent, relentless direction by Luis Llosa, very good cinematography, and of course, SUPER Barry score!"
