"I visited Mackinac Island in 1979.When I saw the movie,it tore at my soul and I never get tired of it.The words and music expressing their desperate love,at all costs,is something that is better than anything in life.To really feel love,is really worth more than all the money.I imagine we all have felt this way, maybe once or twice in our lives.Such a great movie.Words can't express how much I like it.

A wonderful, haunting score by John Barry

"The sound track of this film has been in my mind since I first watched the movie several months ago. The CD goes everywhere with me in the car and somehow all the other CD's I have now pale in comparison. I cannot get the music out of my mind and every time I listen to it, I can relive the scenes from this wonderful film whose scenes blend perfectly with the music. The score and the film are the result of a labor of love on the part of John Barry and the cast of "Somewhere In Time" as there was little support for this film which had a very limited budget."
Amazing, Wonderful, Powerful, Moving...

"The above adjectives would be how I would describe this stunning soundtrack.
This music is precious to me because it was so very precious to my late grandmother. I remember watching the movie with her many, many times. Initially, as a young man, I was drawn to the science-fiction element presented in the movie, my grandmother Ruby, thought the love story and the acting brilliant, but what she especially loved was this music. Later I realized how special the film (and how exquisitely gorgeous Jane Seymour is/was!)and it's score is.
When my grandmother died this music resonated with a far deeper meaning, so much so, that shortly after her death I heard the title theme while shopping for a card in a Hallmark store and broke down crying. It hit me that powerfully. That was over a decade ago and I must admit as much as I cherish this music and as beautiful as it is, it is very difficult for me to listen to without shedding tears.
However, don't let that scare you off. This is just simply beautiful and worthwhile. There are some things in this life that are so fine and so enriching that we become better for encountering them. I firmly believe this music, this art, is one of those things..."
