"I happen to be a Richard Jordon fan so I enjoyed the movie ( yeah, I am part of that minority). There are subtle differences in this complete film score, I frankly care little. The music of the movie is superb - another John Barry triump (Zulu, Bond Film). The problem I have with most sound tracks is they give you little snipets of the music and leave you wanting more. This does not do that. You get richly filled out scores, so that anyone not having seen the film would enjoy this as well.Beautiful, haunting, sensual. Great to relax to..."

"23 years have I waited for this soundtrack. No, it isn't Barry and those with an educated ear may be able to tell you where the recording differs from the film score. I cannot.Raine felt the haunting texture of the original and conducted the City Of Prague Philharmonic to a timeless recording of timeless music. It is everything I hoped it would be.But none of that is important. What is important is the spirit of the sea and its dreams are intact and on this cd."
